Warren Hill: Winner of a record 6 Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards, Warren continues to shine in the Contemporary Jazz format with his latest CD La Dolce Vita. Voted Top 10 releases of 2008 by Smooth Jazz News, the single has set the record for the longest week on the Radio and Record Charts as well as the longest weeks in the Top 10. Warren was the creator and host of one of the most successful Smooth Jazz events in the history of the format: Warren Hill’s Smooth Jazz Cruise from 2004 to 2006.
Jonathan Butler: Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Jonathan began performing at the age of 7 and spent his youth under the shroud of apartheid, touring his poverty-stricken country as part of a traveling variety show. He was signed to Jive records as a teenager and since then won Sarle Awards and multiple Grammy Nominations. His vocals are incredibly passionate and have their roots in R&B soul, while his guitar playing is equally soulful and full of his jazz influences. Jonathan’s latest CDs are Falling in Love with Jesus: Best of Worship and Brand New Day.
Nick Colionne: This Chicago native blasted onto the contemporary jazz scene in 2003. Since that time he has earned chart topping radio success, Canadian Smooth Jazz International Artist of the year, and a vigorous touring schedule developing a show that mixes his incredible guitar playing along with his sultry vocals. Also known as the “sharpest dressed man” in the genre, Nick’s personality shines both on and off stage. In addition to performing his own show in Jamaica, Nick will host jam sessions as well. This is one guy who knows how to get the party going! Nick’s latest CD is No Limits.
Jeff Golub: With 6 solo CDs and 3 CDs as the leader of Avenue Blue, Jeff is one fo the top Guitarest in the world of Contemporary Jazz. Prior to his Jazz carer, Jeff was an accomplished studio muscian and the guitarest for Rod Stewart (1988 to 1995) and Billy Squire (1980 to 1988). He continues to be a key member of the incredibly successful and longest running package tours “Guitars and Saxes” with sold out shows nationwide. In the words of Warren Hill…”Jeff is one of the top guitarists in the world…it only takes seeing one show to be convinced”. Jeff’s latest CD is Blues for You, releasing August 25, 2009.
Huge Groove: Prior to arriving on the Contemporary Jazz scene with his debut hit “Euge Groove”, this saxophonist toured and recorded with a who’s who in the music biz, from the Tower of Power, Tina Turner to Joe Cocker. 3 more solo CDs later, multiple number 1 Smooth Jazz hits and awards, Euge has earned his place as a top Artist in the field, His high energy, funk and R&B influenced show, along with his “huge” and tough sound on the tenor sax, will get everyone up out of their seats to get their “groove” on! Bobby Lyle: In a career that spans 3 decades, Bobby has established himself as a composer, sideman (Sly & The Family Stone, George Benson), music director (Al Jarreau, Anita Baker), producer, arranger, and world class performer. Audiences worldwide are mesmerized by his melodic compositions and dazzling piano technique. With 12 CDs that include a #1 Billboard position, crossover to Traditional Jazz charts and an Emmy nomination for his music direction of Bette Midler’s “Diva Las Vegas”, Bobby is a musical veteran and living piano legend. Bobby’s latest CD is Hands On.
Gerald Veasley: Born and raised in Philadelphia, Gerald was the bassist for Joe Zawinut (Weather Report) for 7 years and recording with greats, such as McCoy Tyner, Teddy Pendergrass, and Grover Washington Junior, before releasing his first solo CD in 1992. 7 CDs later and numerous chart topping songs, he established himself as the premier bassist in Contemporary Jazz. Aside from his busy recording and touring schedule, he also owns a very successful jazz club in Reading, Pennsylvania. Gerald’s latest CD is Your Move.
